It’s hard to be simple

It’s easy to over-complicate and over-engineer something.

There’s always a wish for that extra feature or option to add on top of a design that would very quickly over-complicate a design.

It’s not hard to do that. It’s hard to keep it simple, which is what I set out to solve with this project.

This project took several iterations before arriving at this point.

Creating the model

  1. Block out the main volume
  2. Create the main support beams
  3. Create the secondary beams
  4. Create and space out the monkey bars
  5. Create and space out the straight bars (green in picture)
  6. Create mounting plates under the main supports.

And with the model done, it’s time build it and test it.
